World Conference on Lung Cancer, 2013

Sydney won the right to host the 2013 World Conference on Lung Cancer in June 2008 following almost eight years of campaigning by Business Events Sydney (BESydney). This achievement for Sydney demonstrated that a united conference planning, industry, government and stakeholder approach could and would pay dividends. BESydney’s Chief Executive Officer Jon Hutchison said key identities from all areas of cancer policy, prevention, treatment and research were brought together to form the successful bid team.
